Ben and Jessica’s wedding day at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards was filled with mountain views, golden light, and emotional moments that made this venue shine in every possible way.

As a Charlottesville wedding photographer and Virginia wedding photographer, Pippin Hill is always one of my favorite places to photograph because of how beautifully the light moves across the vineyards and mountains throughout the day.

A Private First Look in the Vineyards

Ben and Jessica chose to do a first look tucked away along one of the vineyard paths. With the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance and quiet surrounding them, this moment set the tone for the entire day — relaxed, emotional, and intentional.

Their portraits right after the first look were some of my favorites from the entire wedding. The soft light, vineyard rows, and rolling hills created a timeless backdrop that perfectly matched their calm energy.

A Ceremony with a View

Their ceremony overlooked the mountains with guests seated facing one of the most iconic views in Central Virginia. The setting required very little decoration — the landscape did all the work.

Golden Hour Sunset Portraits

Just before the reception was fully underway, we stepped out for 10 minutes of sunset portraits. The vineyard glows, the mountains soften, and everything feels still. These ended up being Ben and Jessica’s favorite images from the day.
