I'm Crystal Vandegrift, and for 31 years, I've been capturing love stories across Central Virginia and beyond. Why? Because I feel that God has given me the talent to capture everyones love story and I must share those talents. What started as a passion project at 21 has grown into something I never imagined—a thriving photography business that feels more like an extended family than work.
Our Growing Family
My greatest accomplishment isn't behind the camera—it's my daughter Casey, who joined me as an associate photographer in 2020. Together with our talented team members Leah, Marissa, Jacquelene, Kristen, Logan and Lexi and our newest additions—four videographers, Kenney, Monika, Gavin and Kam—we're now offering complete photography and video packages to tell your story from every angle.
Beyond the Camera
When I'm not documenting your special day, you'll find me living life to the fullest. I'm a devoted coffee enthusiast (sometimes craft beer lover), passionate about expressing art through tattoos, and completely smitten with animals—sharing my home with five rescued black cats and one adorable blind Bichon and my host of farm animals. My happy place? Anywhere with sand and water, preferably somewhere in the Caribbean.

If it pours down rain the day of your wedding, please don't worry. I offer at no additional cost the opportunity to our couples to return to their venue to hold a couple’s session in their wedding attire. Why do I do this? Simple, because I hate to see my couples spend thousands of dollars for beautiful images of themselves on their wedding day only to have it rain and have everything shot inside in a dull environment/background. Obviously, I can't control the weather, but this is just my way of making sure my couple gets beautiful couple images on their wedding day best. Plus, it is just a kind thing to do, and we all need to share a little kindness!
