Ashley and Alex's wedding was no different!. A beautiful sunny day with a ceremony in the late afternoon gave us the chance to catch that perfect sunlight glow! After the cake has been long eaten and dress has been packed away in storage, all that will remain is the photos taken there on your wedding day. And while there are many photographers out there, who would you like to trust your most precious memories to? How do you get the most out of your wedding photos? Will my photos turn out the way I have dreamed of? Here are some tips to getting the most out of your wedding photography. "The REAL professional photographers" You have many amateur s out there, that bought a camera and posing as photographers and picking up weddings for some quick easy cash. And even though the price might seem great, take a look at the bigger picture, and ask yourself "why is this person so cheap?" Many professional photographers charge the amount they do because of the skill and education they have, the higher dollar cameras they use that take those great shots, and the materials they use to give you a high quality products that will stand the test of time. "You will need TIME to make the magic happen" Often times many photographers add a traditional style to their overall wedding shooting skills. These are the tried and true, can't go wrong photos that are taken after the ceremony. These are the shots that get enlarged and placed on a desk or in an album to show your children, so you want to make sure you have time to make these photos happen. After the ceremony allow for a good hour with the photographer, depending on the size of the bridal party and the amount of relatives you want in these photos, you might want to allow for a little more time. Taking the photos isn't the hard part; it's the organization for all the other people that takes most of the time. "Your creative input helps more then you know" What I suggest to couples is to think about the types of photography they want and let your wedding photographer know what you would like. By offering up ideas and suggestions to the types of photos you'd like to have taken, the better the photographer will be giving you what you want. I'd recommend finding photos online saving them and sending them to the photographer for some ideas or if you find beautiful pictures in magazines clip them out or bring them with you to your meeting with your wedding photographer. It helps to bring everyone onto the same page. "Engagement Portraits and you" If the photographer offers an engagement portrait session as part of a package or even separately it is recommended that you take advantage of the pre wedding day shoot. It will give you a chance to get comfortable posing in front of a camera as well as gives the photographer a head start finding all those good sides to photograph you in. So, your wedding date is finalised, venue is booked and you have hired the wedding photographer. Now what? It’s time to decide the style of wedding photography you want for your special occasion. There are many types of styles you can choose from, but you should go for the style that suits you the most. Here are the top 4 most popular styles
While going for vintage style photography you need to make sure that the wedding ceremony also has a vintage theme. How would the pictures look, if the people are wearing modern clothes and you go for vintage style of photography? Plan properly to get the best results from vintage style photography for weddings.

These days it is not uncommon to find many couples paying for their own wedding from their own funds. However, you don't have to spend a fortune or go into debt to have a beautiful wedding. Determine the amount of your budget and stick to it. Keep track of all your expenses and receipts in a folder or binder so that you can stay organized and accurately keep track of where your money is going. Here are some helpful tips to help you stay within your wedding budget. Wedding Dress • Avoid overly elaborate dresses because they will be more expensive. • Choose a floor sample dress and just have it dry cleaned if necessary. • Look for your dress during prom and homecoming or consider wearing a bridesmaid dress. You can find a beautiful white or cream colored dress during that would be perfect for a wedding at a fraction of the cost of a traditional wedding dress. • Look at consignment shops and the classified ads. Wedding dresses are generally only worn once so you can get a gently used dress at a huge cost savings. Reception • Keep the number of guests down. You and the groom should look at the first draft of the guest list and carefully consider who can be taken off the list. • Have a cash bar instead of an open bar. Or you can also just provide wine and beer to keep the costs down. • Hold the ceremony and reception in the same location. You will be able to cut the cost of the location for the ceremony, decorations and transportation to the reception site. Flowers • Purchase your flowers wholesale and just pay for the labor of a professional florist to arrange them. • Arrange the flowers yourself. A bouquet made of all roses with a little eucalyptus filler and tied with ribbon makes a stunning bouquet and you do not need to be a professional to put this together. Photography • Find a photographer with reasonable rates and one that you feel that fits your personally! Invitations • Print your own invitations using your home computer. Visit your local arts and crafts store or search online and purchase a do-it-yourself invitation kit. Miscellaneous • Make your own wedding favors. Wrap up jordan almonds or other candies in lace and tie with ribbon pre-printed with your names and wedding date. • Keep the number of chosen bridesmaids and groomsmen to a minimum or choose not to have them at all. This will keep the rehearsal dinner cost down as well as eliminate the need to buy groomsmen and bridesmaid gifts. Pictures were one of my top priorities for my wedding. I spent a lot of time reading through photographers and even contacting some. I was also pretty nervous, I had never been professionally photographed before. Crystal and her team were SO easy to work with and immediately took away the nerves. I trusted her completely and I am so happy I did. Cannot recommend enough! Ellen - Yorktown VA
If you're looking for an amazing photographer who is relaxed, has experience, and knowledge look no further. Crystal took our engagement and wedding photos. Not only were her photos amazing, but she is extremely responsive to messages and will even help you when planning your big day. It was important to us to work with a photographer who has experience with same sex couples, and Crystal and Casey did a great job capturing everything for my wife and I. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. - Emily - Nellysford, VA
